Nick Martin is an educator, technologist, and social entrepreneur with ten years of international peace building and development expertise. Nick is the CEO & Founder of TechChange, a Washington DC-based social enterprise that builds online courses and diploma programs for people who want to make a positive difference in the world. TechChange has so far prepared over 10,000 alumni from more than 170 countries. The enterprise has built and delivered custom online courses for the global audiences of organizations such as the World Bank, USAID, State Department and the UN Foundation. Nick has received several awards and fellowships for his contributions in the field of education, technology and social change, and the list includes: the PopTech Social Innovation Fellowship (2013), the International Youth Foundation's Global Fellowship (2009), the Ariane de Rothschild Fellowship (2014), and the Society for International Development’s Rice Award (2014 Runner-up). He is also an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown's School of Government and George Washington University Elliott School where he teaches courses on technology for crisis response and mobile phones for international development.
